Rough Day for Tigers' Pitching Prospects

While I haven't gotten into previewing the upcoming 40 man roster decisions, the Tigers have some candidates in the Arizona Fall League. Among those presumably vying for spots, Luis Marte and Zach Simons pitched today. Rudy Darrow also took the hill today, but he is still a year away from Rule 5 eligibility. I'll get more into these decisions in the future, but for now we'll just say none of these guys helped their cause today:

Luis Marte: 1 IP, 3H, 3ER, 1BB, 0K
Zach Simons: 2 IP, 4H, 4ER, 1BB, 1K, 2HR, 2 2B
Rudy Darrow: 1 IP, 3H, 2ER, 2BB, 2K

It's way too early to come to conclusions, but for guys vying for a shot at next year's bullpen, they all need to be making a better impression. This is extra true for Marte, who didn't exactly inspire confidence in that injured elbow after returning from rehab.
