The Giants designated Sergio Romo for assignment today. He's 25, and his minor league numbers look pretty good. This could be a worthwhile pick up.
Okay, maybe not... It looks like he was designated for assignment on a technicality, because he was put on August revocable waivers and couldn't be sent down until he cleared. Oh well.
